This course will examine how practitioners should approach an investigation of suspected fraud. The course will focus particular attention on the investigation of fraud that commonly occurs in the small and medium sized business sector, Among the matters addressed will be:

  • Examining electronic evidence.
  • Importance of documenting the findings of the investigation.
  • When specialist expertise is required to complete the investigation.
  • Preparing reports at the conclusion of the investigation.
  • Common instances of fraud in the SME sector.
  • Lessons to learn from instances of fraud.
