Certificate in FRS102

Speaker: Christy Kearney
Location: Dublin

There is an urgent need for accountants who use UK & Irish GAAP to get to grips with the new financial reporting standard FRS 102 which replaces UK & Irish GAAP for accounting periods commencing on or after the 1st January 2015 (with major transitional arrangements from 1st January 2014).

This Certificate, which was developed by CPA Ireland Skillnet, is designed to equip accounting professionals with a full understanding of and a capacity to apply the new standards.

The Certificate will take place over 2 full day lectures, the 28th November & 12th December 2015 in Dublin and 3 pre-recorded webinars, ensuring the least amount of disruption to your working hours. To successfully complete the Certificate participants will need to attend all 5 modules and successfully pass an assignment.

The Certificate will enable participants to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive level of knowledge and understanding of FRS 102
  • Practically apply FRS 102 to financial statements
  • Convert current GAAP accounts to FRS 102
  • Identify options on transition
  • Apply the concepts and pervasive principles of FRS 102 to accounting transaction problems
