The Companies Act 2014 is the single largest legislative undertaking since the foundation of the State. It will affect every person involved in business in Ireland. Whether it be the transition to the new company formats or the inclusion of additional creditor protections, this Act will change many aspects of our current company law regime.

The Certificate in the Companies Act seeks to provide a comprehensive course in Company Law for Accountants, focusing not just on the new areas created by this Act but also giving a solid foundation for that information by covering the aspects of company law which accountants deal with regularly in their daily work.

WHO IS THE CERTIFICATE FOR?

As advisers to businesses and clients all professional Accountants need to familiarise themselves with the new Companies Act 2014 in order to be able to provide up-to-date and relevant information to their clients or employers.

SCHEDULE

The Certificate will consist of 4 lectures (which are also available via Live Streaming) and pre-recorded webinars, commencing on the 1st October and finishing on 16th October.

CERTIFICATE FORMAT

Participants who wish to complete the full Certificate will attend all lectures (either physically in CPA Ireland HQ or via Live Streaming from the comfort of your own home/ office), view all pre-recorded webinars and complete an assessment.  The assessment will be composed of an assignment and an on-line multiple choice exam.

MODULES

For participants who don't want to complete the full Certificate there are a variety of module options which are available to book separately.
