Advising Beyond Numbers - HR

Speaker: TBC
Location: Dublin

CPA Ireland have recognised how the role of the professional accountant is changing beyond recognition.  Businesses across Ireland are turning to their accountant for strategic business advice.  They are looking for strategic guidance in such diverse areas as vision, marketing, HR issues, exporting, dealing with change and much more.

Employees play a crucial role in the growth of an organisation. An organisation’s profitability is directly linked to the productivity of its employees.

Forecasting, managing and delivering on your most volatile asset (people), while the nature of work is rapidly transforming, requires deep focus from what McKinsey coined the “G3” a core strategy group of CEO, CFO and CHRO.

In this seminar expert speakers will present on the crucial issues to help you learn and stay current in the ever-changing field of human resources.

Sarah Abbott at The People Practice shares how to balance the talent needs of today with the potential skill needs of tomorrow, and how Finance has a critical role to play in this process.

An ‘employer brand’ is the externally held image and reputation of the employment experience within an organisation.  A successful employer brand enables an organisation to attract and retain desired talent and empowers employees to deliver the desired ‘brand experience’ to customers.  Jean Cushen, Maynooth University will offer insights, based on her research, into how the worlds’ largestorganisations promote their employer brands within their annual reports, the relationship between brands and financial performance and what smaller organisations can learn from this research.  Finally, attendees will be guided to evaluate their own employer brand and to understand the steps they can take to craft and elevate their brand both within and outside the organisation.

Other presentations will include a very practical presentation from a practicing lawyer on the essential topic of employment law and a perspective from a rapidly growing practice firm on their people strategy.
