Companies (Accounting) Act 2017 – Breakfast Briefing
Navigating the legislation
On 17 May 2017, the Companies (Accounting) Act 2017 (the “2017 Act”) was signed into law and it is expected that the Minister will issue the commencement order imminently. The 2017 Act will introduce the Small Companies Regime and Micro Companies Regime into Irish company law. It will incorporate the provisions of the EU Directive 2013/34/EU (the “Accounting Directive”) into the Companies Act 2014.
CPA Ireland will host a breakfast briefing on this issue on Wed 5th July 2017. Subject matter experts, Maureen Kelly and Oliver Holt, will present on the impact of this significant piece of legislation on financial reporting and the impact on you the professional accountant. Possible pitfalls will be highlighted and advice on steering your way through them will be provided to make the session a very practical one.
The session will conclude with an interesting panel discussion providing attendees with an opportunity to engage with speakers and further enhance their understanding of the topic.
