CPA Ireland will host a series of webinars on range of topical tax topics relevant to the professional accountant. Subject matter expert and tax consultant Mairead Hennessy, Taxkey will provide practical advice to maximise attendee learning.
VAT on Property Update - 29 November 2017- 1pm -2pm
This seminar will provide an in-depth analysis of current issues regarding the provision of VAT advice for property transactions. Specific VAT on Property topics that will be covered include VAT Transfer of Business relief, the VAT treatment of service charges, the capital goods scheme and requirement for capital goods records, issues relating to the joint option to tax property sales and VAT recovery on sale/ acquisition costs.
General Tax Update – 7th December 2017 – 1pm-2pm
This seminar will focus on recent VAT cases of interest, VAT updates from recent Finance Acts, recent Revenue briefings on VAT and the Travel Agent Margin Scheme.
Farming Tax Update - 13 December 2017 – 1pm -2pm
This seminar will look at current tax issues relating to farmers including succession planning for farmers with particular focus on the new Succession Farm Partnership, VAT for farmers, the income tax exemption for leased land and considerations regarding incorporating a farming business.
The Knowledge Development Box – 20 December 2017 1pm -2pm
This seminar will examine the new Knowledge Development Box (KDB) regime and will specifically look at who can qualify under the KDB, Revenue guidance issued on the regime, practical issues emerging for companies looking to benefit from KDB and the how the KDB fits in amongst the pre-existing R&D and intellectual property tax reliefs.
