8 February 2018 – The obligations for the Data Controller and Data Processor
The GDPR will introduce specific obligations on both the Data Controller and Data Processor, summarised in the phrase – “demonstrable evidence of compliance” – the challenge will be for organisations to be able to demonstrate that they have considered their DP obligations, and have appropriate structures in place to do just that. This brief webinar will outline the key obligations, and provide guidance on what steps to take to satisfy the objective.
22 February 2018 – Consent and Direct Marketing
The GDPR has introduced a ‘higher bar’ for consent, particularly where that consent pertains to direct marketing activity. This webinar will explore the new criteria, consider the measures necessary to meet this new standard, and provide recommendations on how to manage legacy data which may not achieve that high standard
1 March 2018 – Data Subject Rights
In addition to a revised set of Data Processing obligations for Controllers and Processors, the GDPR will introduce new Rights for individual data subjects – these rights will add to the burden of Controllers and Processors, since they will need to have the appropriate protocols in place to respond appropriately, once these rights are invoked. This webinar will review the new provisions, and consider appropriate responses by which to demonstrate respect for the rights and freedoms of individuals.
8 March 2018 – Privacy Impact Assessments
The GDPR has introduced a new standard for privacy awareness, known as Privacy by Design or Default – in short, any organisation considering a change to the way in which personal data is processed must conduct a risk assessment of the proposed solution. This webinar will explore the circumstances in which a PIA is required, and walk through the key steps to ensure that this obligation is met and appropriately recorded for future reference.
