A 1-day interactive and challenging strategy course to complement the financial aspects of the business covering topics such as - why is strategy required, what frameworks are needed and this strategic outlook to vision, mission and financial objectives.

 

 

Module 1: STRATEGIC PLANNING

 

  • Why every organisation should develop a strategic plan
  • Understanding strategic concepts and their scope
  • Balanced Scorecard Framework

 

Module 2: STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION

 

  • Future depends on your purpose – Vision and Mission
  • Your Client - where do they fit in?
  • Making strategic choices confidently
  • Formulation – programs, projects, policies, technology
  • Business analysis and contingency planning
  • Internal communication of the strategy. Your employee’s role

 

Module 3: STRATEGIC EVALUATION

 

  • Organisational goals and cascading these goals through the organisation
  • Effective process management to achieve business results.
  • Monitoring and measuring business performance

 

Structure

 

Interactive sessions with specific emphasis on applied learning in a convivial yet challenging environment. The day will involve a combination of the following:

 

  • Communicating the core elements and tools necessary for strategy development
  • Encouraging interaction, discussion and healthy debate
  • Creating working teams and engaging the group by setting challenges throughout the day.

Sinead O’Riordan

Sinead is a strategic and operational leader with over 20 years’ experience gained in established organisations, multinationals and start-ups. Her Management career was launched in AOL in 1995 and in 1999 she was responsible for setting and rolling out the Customer Care strategy for the launch of Meteor Mobile Communications in 2001.

Working as a Training and Management consultant, she is bringing her experience and strong track record to various high-profile clients such as ACE UCC, Oracle, Musgrave’s and the Rigney Dolphin Group. She holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science.

 

Conor Carmody

Conor is a business leader and marketer with over 20 years’ experience in the start-up and development of companies in the retail and telecoms arena. Conor was responsible for the development of the commercial strategy for the launch of Meteor Mobile Communications in 2001.

Following the successful sale of that business, he developed and launched the eMobile brand for Eircom in 2010. Since 2013 Conor has been working with companies such as Oracle, Musgraves, Dublin BIC and Enterprise Ireland. He holds an MBA from the UCD Smurfit School of Business and was made a Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 2009 in recognition of his contribution to the Marketing industry.

 

Conor and Sinead bring their combined skills and experience to the programme as both will develop, facilitate and deliver this workshop to the delegates.
