GDPR Webinar Bundle

Speaker: Gerry Egan

Achieving and Maintaining Compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

It is now almost one year since the GDPR came into effect. In Ireland many organisations have made very good progress and would be considered fully compliant while others are still stuck in the starting blocks. Regulatory activity is on the increase with the Irish Data Protection Commission having received over 4000 complaints in 2018. In addition, almost 5000 breaches of personal data have been reported by organisations to the DPC since May 2018.

The purpose of this webinar series is to educate members about your legal obligations under GDPR in order that you will be compliant in your own right and will be in a position to advise clients about their compliance obligations.

The series of four modules will:

  • Provide an overview of the GDPR and the implications for business and professional practices
  • Outline the responsibilities of CPA Ireland members as data controllers and data processors

  • Equip you to manage data protection risks by understanding how to manage data breaches and handle requests from data subjects
