Speaker Bio

Jim Byrne worked for many years’ at a senior level with the Revenue Commissioners, having recently retired. He has dealt with and audited businesses of all sizes ranging from corner shops to large multi nationals. He was involved in policy formulation and responsible for the drafting of legislation. He drafted much of the legislation on research and development tax credits and was at one point responsible for Revenue’s audit program of that incentive.
