Time management is a core business management skill which presents us with daily challenges. Organising your day so that you are as productive as possible isn’t easy because of the constant interruptions that occur in a normal working environment. Today, many people face the additional challenges of working from home. 

This practical webinar of real-world learnings is based on two books written by Sean McLoughney and over 10 years research and will outline how you can apply some simple principles to help you organise your day, week and month.

During this webinar you will see that the emphasis is on:

  • an easy-to-follow methodology that can be used in any working environment
  • proven practical tips and techniques 
  • checklists and templates to help you improve how you use your time 

 During this session Sean McLoughney will share some skills and techniques to help you improve how you plan & schedule your day, paying particular attention to working remotely.

Some key topics that are explored during this session include: 
 
Webinar 1 – How to organise your day, week & month when WFH
Build a routine for working from home (WFH), learn how to transition from the office environment to the home office and how to stay focused during the working day
Transform how you use a “to do” list which will ensure a more results focused approach. Prioritise the important things in your work and not just the urgent things. Improve your thinking process and decision making to become more results focused. 
Start using the Time Management Balance Sheet principle which keeps you ahead of deadlines through better planning and scheduling of important tasks. Understand how much time you have available for the important stuff.
 
Webinar 2 – How to deal with the challenges of working remotely
Conduct a personal time audit to understand how you really spend your time, as  opposed to how you think you use your time; understand the real issues in  working from home instead of the perceived problems. Establish how much time  is wasted through interruptions.

  • Reduce the amount of interruptions that occur every day and use this time to  get the important stuff done. 
  • Identify interruptions that are unique to working from home and how best to  reduce these interruptions
  • Adjust to working from home, plan meaningful breaks and maintain working  relationships with colleagues
  • Learn some tips and techniques to keep yourself focused during the day
