This course begins with working with Text, where you will learn:

  • How to extract text using Left, Right and Mid and also learn how to clean text
  • How to amend text using Find, Search and Replace

 We will then move on to Date and Time and you will learn how:

  • To calculate the different between two dates/times,
  • To use dates in financial models to drive spreadsheets and create an age debtors or creditors using date math combined with IF statements.
  • To use the Mod function with time calculations
  • Extract dates and time from Strings of Text
  • Use Date Functions such as Date, Yea, Month and EOMonth

In addition to all of this you will also learn about custom formatting.
