Women in Business - Summer event

Women Affecting Change

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a disproportionate effect on women's lives in many ways, according to a study published by the European Commission in March 2021. At June's Women in Business event "The Positive Economist," Susan Hayes Culleton, will address this impact of the pandemic while offering a positive outlook for women-run and women-centric businesses and future recovery prospects.

June's event will also investigate the representation of women in politics, particularly the positive impact more female TDs and Senators could have on the country. Ireland currently stands at 100th in the
world ranking of women’s representation in national parliaments, highlighting a lack of women's voices in decision making processes at a national level. How are women missing out as a result of the lack of women in leadership roles? We are looking forward to hearing Holly Cairns discuss her journey and what impact she believes she can have.

We will also be joined by Deirdre Hannigan, Group Chief Risk Officer at AIB. She reflect on her career and the challenges she encountered on the way.

CPA Ireland's Women in Business event offers learning and networking opportunities for female professionals to share leadership strategies, build networks and hear from successful female leaders and entrepreneurs in an uplifting and supportive atmosphere. Register for June's event early and keep an eye on the post for a nice surprise!

CPA is proud to partner with AIB as the sponsor of the virtual Women in Business evening in 2021
