Company Law update with Keith Rooney

For the Company Law update we are going to be discussing a number of topics, including the following:

1. The new standard for restorations in light of the Allenton Properties Limited case.

2. Private settlement arrangements in insolvency processes - Cara Pharmacies and disclosure requirements

3. Pre-insolvency engagement - the New Look examinership and lessons for businesses

4. Removing a liquidator of an insolvent company - how and why

The focus is on the insolvency sphere, accepting the likelihood of a sharp increase in insolvent companies in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the withdrawal of government supports that have kept many businesses afloat. Being prepared to advise upon and understand the latest developments in Company Law will add to any practitioner’s knowledge base.
