Following the success of last year's Employee Ownership Roadshows, Employee Ownership Ireland (EOI) and the Ulster Society are delighted to invite you to this year's events.
A lot has happened in the world of employee ownership (EO) since June 24, and we want to be sure you and your clients are kept up to speed.
What's New This Year?
-
Be informed of Budget Changes (October 2024): Understand how recent financial and tax shifts will incentivise more business owners to consider this option
-
Hear Directly from our new Employee Owned Trusts (EOT’s) in 2024, we now have 10 EOT's and almost 700 employee owners in EOT businesses throughout Ireland.
-
Meet some companies about to move into EO: we have six businesses who are now on their way to transitioning in the coming months.
-
“Be Part of something bigger”: Come and hear how Employee Ownership Ireland, launched in January 2025, are building a community to support advisors and SMEs to build great EO
-
Listen to our Minister for the Economy Caoimhe Archibald, outline why she believes EO will be good for business and our community.
For advisors, Your presence was invaluable last year, and we would love to welcome you again in 2025. Perhaps you could consider inviting a few more of your colleagues to ensure your whole team are giving the most up to date advice on the EO options. We also strongly encourage you to pass this invitation on to any clients who might be considering succession in their family business.
For SME business owners, please come along and hear how EOI can help you explore if EO is right for your business. EOI are building a community to help build and embed the benefits of EO so that your business survives and thrives for generations to come
Find out why and how a number of businesses in NI are now selling to their employees and about the meteoric rise of Employee Ownership Trusts as a business succession vehicle in mainland UK and how this model could work for your clients.
Hosted by Ulster Society Immediate Past Chairman Paul Millar, we will hear from Glen Dott (Succession and Employee Ownership expert from Scottish Enterprise) and Andrew Harrison (Employee Ownership expert from Co-ownership Solutions LLP) about the benefits of employee ownership and the Employee Ownership Trust model as a concept.
Guests will then hear from Relinea, White Ink Architects, S&W Wholesale and People 1st about their employee ownership journeys and why they chose an Employee Ownership Trust as their business succession solution.
There will also be an opportunity to hear from Aidan O’Neill about his interest and support for employee ownership and Invest NI will outline their interest in supporting the model as a business succession solution.
