In this webinar we'll check in with three of Northern Ireland's leading economists who will give some insight into the key issues affecting the local economy; and to examine what businesses and policy-makers can do to address the challenges ahead.


About the Speakers

Gareth Hetherington - Director of the Ulster University Economic Policy Centre

The Centre carries out a broad range of economic policy focused research to inform Government on key policy and strategy decisions.  The Centre is currently working with Central Government in the areas of labour market research, skills development and competitiveness and with Local Government in Community Planning and economic development strategies. 

Maureen O'Reilly - Independent Economist
Maureen is an independent economist with more than 25 years’ experience across the public, private and third sectors working on a wide range of research, impact and evaluation projects. She has a particular interest in the business economy working with Chartered Accountants Ulster Society, NI Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Enterprise NI to understand performance, challenge and policy asks to support NI businesses and the economy here. 

Conor Lambe - Chief Economist, Danse Bank
Conor is responsible for Danske Bank’s Quarterly Sectoral Forecasts and Consumer Confidence Index and often speaks at business functions and with Danske Bank customers on his views around the UK and Northern Ireland economies.
