This course was created specifically for accountants in an online environment and is comprised of highly effective strategies for engaging our learners.

The subjects selected for our inaugural digital first course provide updates on core topics for accountants as well as professional and business skills. We have engaged with subject matter experts to develop an exceptional learning experience for our members.

This module will introduce you to the core concepts of Strategy and how to evaluate the strategic elements required for your business by using a strategic framework adapted to your business needs. Learners will gain an understanding of how do develop a strategic framework and how to use the Balanced Scorecard model to link strategic themes and objectives and to develop and monitor strategic goals. The module will also examine the importance of strategic alignment when implementing your overall strategy.

About the Author:

Conor Carmody is a business leader and marketer with over 20 years’ experience in the start-up and development of companies in the retail and telecoms area. Conor was responsible for the development of the commercial strategy for the launch of Meteor Mobile Communications in 2001.

Following the successful sale of that business, he developed and launched the eMobile brand for Eircom in 2010. Since 2013 Conor has been working with companies such as Oracle, Musgraves, Dublin BIC and Enterprise Ireland. He holds an MBA from the UCD Smurfit School of Business and was made a Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 2009 in recognition of his contribution to the marketing industry.
